25 September 2019 – Home Sweet Home

After 7.5 incredible weeks, we’re home.

We landed in Cairns around 8:30am and had some time to unwind in the lounge before boarding our final flight back to Brisbane. A hot chocolate, a scone, and just enough time to reflect on the last 48 hours—leaving Spain, transiting through China, and finally touching down on home soil.

By 2pm, we were walking through our front door—greeted by two very excited (and slightly confused) puppies who weren’t quite sure whether to bark, bounce or collapse with joy. Huge thanks to Auntie Sally for looking after them so lovingly while we were away.

We popped out to the shops to grab steak and veggies for dinner (because no one’s cooking tapas tonight), and now the pups are napping, we’re barely upright, and an early night is definitely on the cards.

It’s been an unforgettable trip—but there’s truly no place like home.
